Tips for checking 2023 UTME results

The 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination was held last week, and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the results’ release.

The board reported that 1,586,765 applicants took the test at 708 CBT centers located in 105 examination centers nationwide.

However, the exam organization made provisions for those who were unable to take the exam on the scheduled dates, stating that “All candidates, who could not sit the 2023 UTME within their scheduled time owing to no fault of theirs, would be rescheduled to take the examination on Saturday, May 6, 2023.”

Following the results’ release, therefore, for concerned candidates and their parents and guardians, here are helpful suggestions to check the 2023 UTME result via SMS 

  1. Use the phone number the candidate used to register for the exam to text the word “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 to verify the 2023 UTME results.
  2. The UTME result will then be sent to the registered phone number.
  3. At the moment, this is the only means available to check the results of the 2023 UTME.
