Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, sparkled at the 23rd BET Awards, which was hosted on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
Tems won the “Best Collaboration” award for her work on Future’s “Wait For U,” which also includes Canadian rapper Drake, despite losing two of her three nominations.
The song, which debuted at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart last year, has now won the BET twice.
At the 2023 BET Awards, Tems had earlier lost to SZA in the “Best Female R&B/Pop Artist” category and to Beyoncé in the “Viewer’s Choice” category.
The “African Giant” crooner, however, won the “Best International Act” award a record-breaking fourth time.
At the 2017 BET Awards, Beyoncé and SZA shared the most victories with three apiece.
