Paul Pogba is the most recent well-known celebrity to be connected to a transfer to Saudi Arabia. Al-Ittihad reportedly made Pogba an offer for a three-year, $100 million (£85.6 million) contract.
The Juventus midfielder recently traveled to Saudi Arabia and stopped by Al-Ittihad’s training center, according to Sky Sport Italia.
A TikTok video of him being questioned about moving to Saudi Arabia later became popular.
“Whether you will be able to watch me in the Saudi league is unknown. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring,” Pogba said to an influencer. ‘Al-Ittihad or Al-Ahly? We don’t know, we’ll see.’
After his contract with Manchester United expired in July 2022, the central midfielder returned to Juventus on a free transfer. He only made 10 appearances in all competitions, totaling 172 minutes, which is less than two whole matches, as injuries wrecked his comeback to Turin.
He would be reunited with Ngolo Kante and Karim Benzema, two of his fellow countrymen, if the move to Al-Ittihad succeeds.
