Sanusi visits Tinubu after meeting leaders of Niger coup

On Wednesday night, President Bola Tinubu and Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the 14th Emir of Kano, had a private meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

After Sanusi’s return from the Niger Republic, where he met with the military junta that overthrew democratically elected President Muhamad Bazoum, they had their meeting.

Around 8:25 p.m., the former CBN Governor arrived at the Presidential Villa.

He arrived right after the President met with a senior delegation from the Nigerian Islamic Ulama.

Sanusi responded simply with, “It’s fine,” when questioned about his trip to Niger.

Sanusi and Tinubu were still in meeting as of the time of reporting this story.
