The agreement to make Mauricio Pochettino the club’s permanent coach has been reached by Chelsea Football Club.
At the conclusion of this season, 51-year-old Pochettino will succeed Frank Lampard as the team’s manager.
After being let go by Tottenham Hotspur in November 2019, he returned to the English Premier League.
Pochettino, who played 20 times for Argentina, joined Espanyol, whom he had played more than 250 times, as a manager in January 2009.
Pochettino has a tough task ahead of him as the upcoming season approaches because Chelsea is presently 11th in the English Premier League standings with no title win this season.
