NPFL increases prize money to N150 million

The Nigeria Professional Football League has revealed that the 2023–24 season’s champions would walk away with a grand prize of N150 million.

Enyimba took home N100 million as the winning reward from the previous season.

This information was revealed during the first meeting of the newly constituted board by NPFL Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye.

The start of the next NPFL season, he added, will be on August 26.

At the Super Eight playoffs in Lagos last month, Enyimba won their eighth NPFL championship.

The campaign’s runner-up was Remo Stars.
