Unknown numbers of people have reportedly died as a result of the collapse of a multi-story structure in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
The incident took place due to a significant downpour on Wednesday night,
The building in question is situated on Abuja’s constantly busy Lagos Street in Garki Village’s Garki II neighborhood.
As of the time of publication, the incident’s specifics are still hazy. The rescue effort is still ongoing, according to Ikharo Attah, a former assistant to the previous Minister of the FCT, who confirmed the development in a post on his Facebook page.
He affirmed that while others are still trapped, at least seven people have so far been rescued and sent to a hospital.
