Microsoft Edge gets nearly 300m users after ChatGPT merger

According to a survey on global browser market share, Microsoft Edge has amassed close to 300 million users since incorporating ChatGPT.

This was recently revealed by Atlas VPN in its May Browser Market study.

As a result, only a few months after installing the connection, the number of Microsoft Edge users reached 50 million.

Despite the growth, Google Chrome and Safari continued to hold the top two positions in the browser market.

Chrome’s 3.4 billion users are a testament to its amazing feature set, approachable user interface, and seamless Google service integration.

Safari has more than 1.1 billion users, according to a breakdown of other browsers.

Last year, Apple’s Safari browser saw rapid growth, surpassing 1 billion users, and has since proceeded to rise to 1.1 billion users this year.

Contrarily, since April 2022, Opera’s user base has increased by 40%, going from 109 million to 152 million.

While Samsung Internet browser has a user base of around 135 million people, Firefox now has almost 150 million users.
