The mass introduction of compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered cars for public transportation in all states has received support from the National Economic Council (NEC).
The remark was delivered on Thursday in Abuja, according to NAN, by Mr. Olusola Abiola, Director of Information for the Vice President’s Office.
The choice was made, in accordance with Abiola, as one of the decisions at the NEC meeting presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Shettima declared that the national mass deployment of CNG and electric cars will be forcefully pursued by the federal government.
“We will also vigorously pursue the mass deployment of CNG-powered vehicles and establishment of autogas conversion plants/kits in all states in the short-term.
“We will also deploy electric buses and cars with charging infrastructure across the country.”
