This is not good news for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the embattled president of Nigeria, as Dr. Elnara Daniel, a former president of Chicago State University, claimed she had intentions to bring him before a US criminal court for forgery.
According to some documents seen by Nigerian Concord Newspaper, the former CSU president declared that it was illegal for the Nigerian president to counterfeit her signature on the certificate he is flaunting.
The former vice president of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was given permission by District Judge Maldonado to request access to his academic records, and Dr. Daniel stated in the document that she has completed the necessary paperwork to file a lawsuit against Tinubu. She will then storm the court to present her case against Tinubu.
The contentious document Tinubu gave to INEC during his nomination process last year, according to the former president of Chicago State University, also noted that she wasn’t even a staff member of the school until 19 years after the certificate was falsified.
Daniel questioned how she could sign a document that was purportedly issued in 1979 when she only started working there in 1998.
She claimed that the pressure from her family, friends, and associates to clear her name of media claims that she had been paid by the embattled Nigerian president to sign the falsified CSU certificate led to her decision to file a criminal complaint against Tinubu.
She insisted further in the statement that during her tenure as president of Chicago State University, she had never had a student by the name of “Tinubu.”
