EPL: Odegaard becomes Arsenal’s highest-paid player with new contract

Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, has now become the highest-paid player at the club.

Odegaard has signed a new five-year contract through 2028, according to The Athletic.

“Signing a new contract was a really easy decision for me.

“What we are doing right now as a club is special, and I want to be a part of that,” Odegaard said.

The international player from Norway is now in his third season with Arsenal after first joining on a loan from Real Madrid in January 2021.

He was voted the Gunners’ Player of the Season last season following a standout campaign in which he scored 15 goals, all in the Premier League, to share the midfield scoring lead.
