It was a festival of culture, glitters, and glamour at the just concluded ENAW annual convention of Edo Indigenes who converge in New Jersey United States 🇺🇸 for their annual celebration of Edo culture.

Stephen OSEMWEGIE a front-runner in the forthcoming Edo 2024 Gubernatorial Election 🗳 was a special guest at this important gathering of the high and mighty, stakeholders and citizens of Edo State. Other notable guests at this event were Distinguished Senator Neda Imasuen, amongst other dignitaries.
Stephen OSEMWEGIE highlighted his campaign tagged “A New Direction for Edo” with his vision of bringing Hope to the desperate situation Edolites currently find themselves in.

Stephen OSEMWEGIE speaking During an interactive section at the last day event, introduced his SEE A HOPE 8-Point Agenda for Edo State.

He explained that his duty if elected Governor would be to restore hope to all Edo people.
S- Security is his first and most important priority if elected Governor. He called it the foundation upon which everything else will stand. He wants to Secure and Unite All Edo People to create a safe, prosperous, and thriving environment across the state.
E- Education is another high priority for Stephen OSEMWEGIE who intends to massively invest in primary, secondary, and tertiary education in Edo State if Elected Governor. He has proposed including skills acquisition into the primary and secondary curriculum to ensure secondary school graduates in Edo State leave with market-ready skills such as tech, plumbing, wool work, welding, baking, fashion designing, etc.

E- Energy generation is another high priority for Stephen OSEMWEGIE who understands the need to internally generate electricity in Edo State to turbocharge the Industrial Revolution and create good-paying jobs which will pull the 1.4 million poor people in Edo state out of poverty.

A-Agriculture is another priority for Stephen Osemwegie who has identified hunger as a major contributor to security in Edo State. He will massively increase food production by funding local farmers, providing access to machinery, and building rural roads to allow farmers access to markets for their goods. He proposes introducing crop insurance to protect agro-investors from theft and climate change-driven adverse weather conditions. Training of Edo Farmers in global best practices is another angle he is going to introduce if Elected.

H – Healthcare access is a vital component of Stephen OSEMWEGIE’s plans for Edo people, building on the strides in the health sector achieved by current Obaseki administrators, Stephen promises to expand access to affordable healthcare for all residents and indigenes of Edo State. He will partner extensively with the vast Edo diaspora to bring about his vision for primary health care centers in every community across Edo state.

O – Opportunity will be created through industrialization and massive job creation, but aggressively funding small and medium scale enterprises, tapping into the genius of the Edo people to encourage entrepreneurship. He wants to provide funding for new small businesses which is the major driver of job creation.

P – Production is the only solution out of poverty and Edo State will move From consumption to production by establishing partnerships with the private sector value-addition industries to our available raw materials. To ensure Edo grows her GDP within his first year in office.

E – Empowerment of Edo youths by way of State-backed grants and sports training facilities within the 18 LGAs. Stephen OSEMWEGIE also proposes funding for the elderly, prompt payment of pensions, and free access to healthcare for low-income Elderly.

Some of the Big ideas disclosed at this event by Stephen OSEMWEGIE in the vision to design and build 3 new cities across each senatorial zone in Edo State.

Edo South – Design and construction of the New Benin Tourist City that will recreate the ancient Bini Kingdom for local and global visitors. This new city will possess state-of-the-art infrastructure and totality secured, as a test cast for the larger existing Benin city. With the ongoing EU-sponsored construction of the Museum of West African Art (MOWA), Edo State will welcome a huge number of new visitors, and the new tourist city will be in a prime position to create opportunities for local and diaspora Edolites who will be the first investors.

Edo Central – Stephen OSEMWEGIE proposes A New Medical Training City where fast-track training of Edo graduates in world-standard nursing programs will service both the new local primary health centers also provide international medical jobs to Edo citizens right from the school and their tuition with be paid over 5years back to the state for sustainability.

Edo North – Stephen proposes An Edo Silicon Valley, A New Technological City with student training and linking graduates to millions of remote tech jobs abroad. To take away from the current illicit internet swindling that is occurring. Call Center jobs will be created to service companies both locally and internationally.
