The 100-hour Cook-a-thon record of Hilda Baci has been beaten by Nigerian cook Damilola Adeparusi, who is located in Ekiti.
On Tuesday, the chef posted a photo of the new record on her Instagram feed to commemorate the achievement.
On June 9, 2023, the chef started a 120-hour cook-a-thon.
After supposedly finishing 15 of the 120 hours allotted for the cooking, she became the focus of a viral video.
Some online users have criticized her for trying to break Hilda’s ‘yet to be confirmed’ record, while some have backed her up to achieve the feat.
The chef’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest culinary feat with a target of 120 hours was celebrated on social media by Ekiti State First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji.
Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, the first lady of Ekiti State, posted on social media in support of the chef’s quest to beat the record for the longest cooking session with an aim of 120 hours.
A Nigerian physician named Dr. Ayo Arojo, who also saw Chef Dammy, gave her N500,000 and a two-week cooking tour of the US.
The Ekiti Chef received support after Chef Dammy, Arojo, posted about his offerings on his Facebook page.
“Chef Dammy will be welcomed on a two-week cooking tour in America. I’m eager for her to begin.
“Let’s keep supporting her, please.”
