On Monday, the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Tribunal rejected the petition submitted by Abdullahi Maidoya, the NNPP’s candidate for governor in the 2023 general election.
You might remember that Maidoya sued Governor Abdullahi Sule after the state’s March 18, 2023 governorship election declared Abdullahi Sule the victor.
The petition “lacks merit” and “is hereby dismissed,” declared the three-person panel under the direction of Justice Ezekiel Ajayi.
He claimed that the petitioner had failed to establish his claims regarding purported irregularities in voting, such as overvoting and voting disruption, beyond a reasonable doubt.
