Hilda Baci has finally been recognized by Guinness World Records as the new holder of the record for the longest cooking marathon.

On Tuesday, this was made official on their website.

According to the post, Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, has successfully broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), clocking in at 93 hours and 11 minutes. This is confirmed by Guinness World Records after a careful examination of all the available data.

“The 26-year-old Nigerian chef started on Thursday, May 11, and worked in the kitchen for four days, producing over 100 pots of meals.

“Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, but nearly seven hours were subtracted from her final total because she unintentionally overstayed one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt,” the statement reads.

Lata Tondon (India) broke the old record in 2019 with a time of 87 hours, 45 minutes.
