Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for president in the most recent presidential election, stormed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to observe hearings on his petition challenging the election results of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
To observe statements in his application on notice requesting live media coverage of the court, the former vice president arrived at the location around 8:30 a.m.
The Labour Party, LP candidate Peter Obi attended court on Monday and Wednesday to witness the proceedings surrounding his own petition.
The PDP’s top officials, supporters, allies, and business partners followed Atiku to court.
As a result of Atiku’s standing as a former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, security has also been stepped up to prevent security breaches, according to our source.
Atiku’s plea was reportedly moved up to this morning even though the pre-hearing session was originally scheduled for 2pm.
