The Academic Staff Union of Universities’ members unanimously elected Professor Emmanuel Osodeke to another term as their national president on Monday, May 22.
A consultant psychiatrist and associate professor at the University of Jos’ College of Medicine, Chris Piwuna, was also re-elected by the union’s members as vice president.
2023 through 2025 will be their term in office.
The University of Jos in Plateau State held the 22nd National Delegates Conference of ASUU between May 19 and 21, 2023, where they were re-elected.
Professor Siji Sowande, the association’s treasurer, Professor Ade Adejumo, the association’s financial secretary, Dr. Austen Sado, the association’s investment secretary, Dr. Adamu Babayo, the association’s internal auditor, and Dr. Aisha Bawa, who took Dr. Stella-Maris Okey’s place as the welfare secretary, are other National Officers of the association who were also re-elected during the conference.
