APP withdraws petition against Tinubu at Presidential Election Tribunal

At the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, the Action Peoples Party has requested to drop its lawsuit against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming president.

Tinubu’s complaint contesting his victory in the 25th of February presidential election is also being asked to be dismissed by the court by APP’s attorney, Obed Agu.

The withdrawal was not opposed by Tinubu’s attorney, Wole Olanipekun, SAN.

The petition was subsequently rejected by Justice Haruna Tsammani, the Tribunal’s chairman.

Keep in mind that the tribunal started meeting in Abuja on Monday.
