Veteran Nigerian musician John Odafe Asiemo, known as Daddy Showkey, has disclosed that he has been receiving death threats as a result of his remarks over the passing of rapper Mohbad, who passed away on September 12, 2023, in a contentious manner.
In an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Daddy Showkey said that there was more to the rapper’s death and pointed musicians in the direction of several influential figures in the music business and in society.
Returning to Daddy Freeze’s Instagram live session from Monday night, Showkey said that since making his previous remark on Mohbad’s fate, he has been getting threats from members of the government.
