Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been named the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial election that took place on February 25 by the Lokoja-based election petition tribunal.

In his decision on Wednesday, the tribunal’s chair, Justice K.A. Orjiakoin, stated that Uduaghan received 54,064 votes, beating out Sadiku-Ohere, who received 51,291 votes.

He pleaded with Ohere to provide Akpoti-Uduaghan N500,000 to cover the petition’s expenses.

Ohere belongs to the All Progressives Congress.
