Muhammadu Buhari, a former president, has explained why he left Daura, Katsina State, for London.

Buhari claimed he left Daura for London because he desired a peaceful environment.

He added that while in his hometown of Daura, guests have been flocking to pay him a visit.

According to an assertion made by Garba Shehu, Buhari’s former media aide: “He opted to go home in Daura intending to find the kind of peace he sought for himself, but recognizing that this was not the case, guests trooping in morning, day, and night, he moved out to a more distant place.

“It is still his goal to be given the time to rest that he requires and for the Tinubu administration to function in an environment that would enable them to fulfill their campaign promises.”

Buhari went back to his birthplace of Daura after his term in office ended.

The president met with President Bola Tinubu after traveling from Nigeria to London.
