2023 AFCON: Super Eagles will be tough opponent for Cote d’Ivoire – Drogba

The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire will face the Super Eagles in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, according to Didier Drogba, who describes it as an “exciting challenge.”

After Thursday’s final draw in Abidjan, the hosts, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau will take on the three-time champions in Group A.

Playing the Super Eagles is expected to be an exciting first test for the Elephants, according to the former Chelsea forward.

“It is a very difficult group. Nigeria is of course one of the favourites and to have them in our group, it is going to be an exciting challenge,” Drogba was quoted by CAFonline.

“But we are up for it. This is the beauty of a competition like AFCON, so we are ready to take on the challenge and let the best teams of this group and all the groups qualify.”
